Bourbon and Beer Set
The Bourbon and Beer Set includes one Sauvin Glass and one New-Fashioned Neat Glass.
New-Fashioned Neat Glass- This is the best bourbon neat glass ever invented! What happens when you pour a good small batch bourbon into the glass and drink it? It tastes like a great single batch bourbon! What happens when you pour an exquisitely old single batch bourbon into this glass and drink it? Your mind explodes from the yet-to-be-discovered bliss of the New Fashioned Neat Glass.
This is my take on a modern neat set. Around the studio, I call this glass the Shulip...a shot glass, tulip hybrid. The tulip shape at the top of the glass does amazing things with the nose or bouquet of the bourbon...and if you say “bourbon has a nose?!?” it’s because you haven’t drank the KY nectar out of this glass.
The tulip shape on the top of the glass enhances the aromatics so much that all the more subtle flavors are more noticeable, giving the liquor a fuller, more round flavor profile. The Shulip gives you the familiarity of a traditional whisky-by-the-drink glass in it’s shot glass bottom, with the aroma enhancing qualities of a tulip.
The New-Fashioned Neat Glass holds approximately 3 oz of bourbon (as pictured).

Sauvin Glass- The Sauvin Glass was one of the first 30 prototypes I designed and made before launching the Pretentious Beer Glass Company back in 2012. It didn't quite fit into the first five set of styles and wasn't included in the initial product line. But for the last couple of years, it has been my go-to glass at the studio. I love it! It enhances just about any style, but most of all, it allows DiPAs to really sing (one of my fav styles).
The glass is named after my personal favorite hop, Nelson Sauvin, a hop variety grown in New Zealand and bred to mimic the flavor profile of Sauvignon Blanc Grapes. Delicious! I use it in home-brews every chance that I get (if you ever stop by the Louisville studio, you can try my Sauvin Saison APA).
The Sauvin Glass is a big snifter/tulip hybrid with a hollow foot. It does amazing feats with aromatic qualities of beer, especially dry-hopped DiPAs. The snifter shape in the middle of the glass allows the user to cradle the glass in both hands and warm the glass (good for belgians or barley wines that need to warm as you drink), while the hollow foot allows you to grasp the glass with very little surface contact area (so it stays cold)!
Hand-washing these glasses is recommended.
